Beating Over-perfectionism
When you try to figure out your offer: be as flexible as possible.
Find the 80/20. Then later on you can optimize and tweak.
Instead of working too long on optimising everything at the beginning.
It’s better to start with something raw, scrappy, being flexible and see what works, and THEN later on refine it.
For videos creation:
No need for hours of script, music, crazy editing, etc.
Something not completely organised yet. What’s the 80/20 of valuable content?
If you’re afraid of what people might think: remember that you won’t get many views.
But more importantly, just make the content good. The content, the core of what you have to say, you need to be happy about it. But what’s around it is not as important.
The benefits of focus
People focusing on one thing, sometimes even just one area of life, are usually the ones who are very successful in life.
It’s important to not be too stretched in. You can’t compete with someone who is focusing on this one thing, when you’re focusing on 5 things at a time.
Troy Krannich: Writing things down to get it out of your head, and thinking that those are things you could do in the future. Then, having something that starts to work helps with knowing what to focus on.
Leon: You can have different things going on by delegating, once you have the leadership skills. The skills of creating and sharing a vision, as well as managing people.
Ideally, when you start a new project, it should have things in common with skills you already have or want to grow. That’s so you don’t have to start over from case 1 every time.
When you are young, learning a ton of skills and making great connexion is the way to go. Skills last a lifetime and can’t be taken away.
Theme of the breakout room: Discuss an opportunity that you have at the moment.
